Victory, With Weight
Acrylic on canvas
A hand rises in a familiar gesture of victory. Painted in loose black and gray strokes, its raised fingers emerge from a shifting field of shadow and light. The gesture carries weight: behind every victory are effort, endurance, and the resolve to keep going.
This painting inspired Victory at Door 22. What began as one hand on canvas grew into a public work at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment, carrying that gesture into a shared space. The painting holds a simple truth: victory can be a sign of hope, but it is never without weight.
